Staff benefits
Dorset is without doubt a stunning place to live and work, with its UNESCO World Heritage coastline and breath-taking countryside.
But look beyond the picture postcard views and you’ll find a rich mix of urban and rural communities. From Lyme Regis in the west to Christchurch in the east, Sherborne in the north and Weymouth & Portland in the south, there’s a busy town or peaceful village to suit you.
We value a work-life balance, and Dorset gives us endless opportunities to build the life we want, at work and at home.
Why move to Dorset?
Our county has a fascinating history and heritage, with ancient monuments, castles and museums.
There’s also a vibrant arts scene, with theatres, galleries, and festivals, particularly during the summer.
And summer is when living in Dorset really pays off, with golden beaches, rolling countryside, and scenic coastal walks. Add to this lots of clubs and opportunities for outdoor hobbies, especially the ones where you’ll be afloat. If you’re into sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing or simply messing about in boats, you’ll be in seventh heaven!
You’ll find a range of living options, and although not the cheapest county to buy in (see all the reasons why above), house prices and rental options are competitive, compared to larger cities.
