Following your offer of employment from your manager, here’s what will happen next and what we will need from you…
Our HR Services team will carry out pre-employment checks
We’ll check and request things like a DBS check if applicable, verify your right to work in the UK and ID documents, qualifications/professional registration, occupational health clearance and references as appropriate.
Please read through the documents and respond to any communications
You will shortly receive your offer letter containing important information and links to your DBS application (if applicable) and occupational health portal, so please complete these as soon as possible. You may need to book an ID check appointment if not provided at interview. Please notify your referees to expect a reference request.
Keeping up to date
We’ll contact you with any questions or if we need further information - please do look out for emails and check your ‘junk’ folder too. If you do have any queries, please let us know.
Ready to start
Once all your checks are satisfactorily complete, we will let you and your new manager know, so that they can contact you to discuss and agree a start date. Once your manager has notified us of this, we will then email your unconditional offer and payroll forms as soon as possible for you to complete and return.
Starting with us
Your manager will let you know the arrangements for your first day. During your first week you’ll complete a local induction, including Trust induction and mandatory training for new employees – this will be via our online ‘eHub’ portal, links for which will be sent to your personal email address the week before your start.
ID badge and IT access
For new employees we will aim to send your ID badge (and Smart Card for systems access if needed) to your workplace during your first week. Your line manager will have arranged any specific IT access / equipment you need – you will need to call IT on your first day to confirm login details and your email address.
